The Graduate Diploma is designed to provide Maritime Management students with a body of Knowledge which will:

  • Increase and broaden their employment opportunities within the Maritime industries worldwide
  • Provide them with a clear understanding of all economic, legal, technical and managerial parameters which apply in the shipping industry
  • Enable them to integrate their knowledge gained on the course in analysing and suggesting solutions to shipping management problems
  • Provide them with a recognised and respected qualification which will enable them to apply to higher programmes of study or to seek senior managerial positions.

2. Shipbroking and Chartering Practices
3. Port Operations and Management
4. Logistics and Supply Chain Management

 

Entry requirements
The minimum age for registration for this programme is 20.

  • The ICM Advanced Diploma in Maritime Management
  • A suitable BTEC Higher National Diploma
  • Any Shipping / Maritime qualifications equivalent to one of the above.
  • Graduates in appropriate disciplines (e.g. Commerce, Economics, Engineering Science, Geography) of approved universities.
  • Mature candidates with relevant experience in an area of shipping may also be considered.

 

Duration of the course
One Academic Term. September to December or January to June
